The Toronto Lady Lynx organization today announced it's plans to enter the New England division of the "Super 20" Women's league presented by United Soccer Leagues (USL). Wilde commented " We are very excited to be re joining the Super 20 Ladies league again. We qualified for the North American finals previously in 2008 and we currently have an extremely talented senior girls Academy, that will be strengthen by our returning college players in the spring". He also added "This program gives Coach Stewart and his staff a close relationship with our senior Academy girls and our future 'W' players. It also provides the perfect preparation for our ladies heading off or back to University Soccer in August".
The program will be over seen by the "Lady Lynx" Head Coach Danny Stewart, together with his senior technical team. Ongoing Academy training, together with a spring season of College showcase events will prepare the girls for the new season ahead, will be incorporated by Stewart into regular 'W' league sessions presented throughout the summer
he New England Division will consist of Elite Senior girls programs from Boston, Maine, New Hampshire, Western Mass and Albany NY. The top two teams will Qualify for the North American finals scheduled for late July. Further details about the Super 20's are posted on the leagues web site at www.uslsoccer.com

TWO LYNX  NAMED TO CANADIAN NATIONAL TEAM
August 15, 2009
The Toronto Lynx are extremely proud to announce the selection of their U20 Captains, Mackenzie Wilde and Konner McNamara into the Canadian National U20 squad, for the world Francophone games in late September. Unfortunately due to NCAA restrictions, Konner will be unavailable to participate. Macca will join the squad in Cyprus on September 16th for training camp, before going onto Lebanon for the tournament one week later.
"The CSA have selected many U19's for this event and it is a fantastic opportunity for this younger age group to spend some time with the National program during this competition" commented Head Coach Duncan Wilde. " I am particularly pleased to see that the National team scouting system is not only aware of what we are doing here, but they have recognised our efforts and are watching our boys  play at both U20 and at PDL level. It is very exciting"
Both players have developed well through the Junior Lynx system. They have both played in 3 SYL National championships, 3 U20 National Championships, together with stepping up to the PDL squad in 2009 and they both still have one more year of eligibility at Under 20. Hopefully this National team recognition is inspiration for our all our players, as we continue challenging the best programs across North America and here at home also.
We hope to see Konner get his opportunity in the near future and we'll look forward to seeing Macca represent our program in our National team colours next month.
